1. Who are Joseph’s 4 sons?

A: Manasseh and Ephraim (Gen. 46:20), Benjamin (Gen. 43:29 “And he said, ‘God be gracious to you, my son.'”), and Pharaoh (Gen. 45:8 “He has made me a father to Pharaoh”).

2. Who are Jacob’s 2 fathers?

A: Abraham and Isaac (Gen. 48:15 “God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked”)

3. Based on the above information and other verses in Genesis 37-50, who were Manasseh’s 14 brothers, 2 fathers, and 3 grandfathers?

Brothers: Ephraim (Gen. 46:20), Pharaoh (Gen. 45:8. Joseph is “Pharaoh’s father”, making Pharaoh Joseph’s son. Manasseh is a son of Joseph; thus, Pharaoh is his brother.), and the 12 sons of Jacob – Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Joseph, Benjamin (Gen. 48:5, Jacob adopts Manasseh and Ephraim as his own sons).

Fathers: Joseph (Gen 46:20), Jacob (Gen. 48:5)

Grandfathers: Jacob (Gen. 46:20, Manasseh’s father is Joseph; Joseph’s father is Jacob), Isaac, and Abraham (Gen. 48:5 Manasseh’s adopted father is Jacob. Gen. 48:15 Jacob’s fathers are Abraham and Isaac).
